Sustainable Hospitality Forum — New York

The Sustainable Hospitality Forum comes to New York this November, convening practitioners, investors, and policymakers working at the intersection of environmental sustainability and hospitality operations.

This is not a forum for aspirations. Every session is built around specific case studies, what was done, what it cost, what it delivered, and structured to produce takeaways that participants can apply in their own organisations immediately.

The 2026 programme covers four principal themes: decarbonisation pathways for hotel portfolios, the business case for circular economy practices in food and beverage, sustainable luxury, reconciling premium positioning with environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance as strategic opportunity.

The New York edition reflects the city's position as both a major hospitality market and an increasingly demanding regulatory environment. New York City's Local Law 97, which mandates carbon emissions reductions from large buildings, is transforming the investment calculus for hotel owners in the market and providing a test case for similar regulation emerging globally.

The Forum hosts 250 attendees across a single intensive day, deliberately structured to maximise meaningful conversation. Morning sessions establish shared context; afternoon working groups develop specific recommendations; an evening dinner creates the informal connections that often prove most durable.

Workshop leaders include sustainability directors from major hotel groups, independent consultants who have overseen certification programmes at over 500 properties, and architects specialising in hotel renovation for environmental performance.

Registration is open to hotel operators, investors, developers, and technology providers working in the sustainability space. H1H community members receive preferential access and a 20 percent registration fee reduction.
